Dhaka: The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket match between Sylhet Sixers and Khulna Titans was abandoned without a single ball being bowled at the Shar-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Wednesday due to drizzle.

The match, which was scheduled to start at 1pm, was finally called-off at 3:30pm as the drizzle did not recede.

The light rain may also hit the day's second between Dhaka Dynamites and Chittagong Vikings scheduled to start at 6pm at the same venue.

After the ill-fated washout, Sylhet Sixers advanced to the top slot in the seven-team league securing seven points from six matches while Khulna Titans remained at the 4th slot with five points from fiver matches.

If the next match is also washed out, Dhaka Dynamites (six points) will clinch the top slot replacing Sylhet Sixers. But a Chittagong Vikings (2 pints) win will enable Sylhet to hold the top for a little longer.
