Chittagong: Chittagong Vikings recorded their second victory in the 26th match of AKS Bangladesh Premier League T20 with a 40-run victory over Sylhet Sixers held on Friday at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium here.

Chasing a huge winning target of 212-run set by Chittagong, Sylhet Sixers were fell short as they restricted at 171 for 8 in 20 overs despite a strong reply by Andre Fletcher and Bazar Azam.

The West Indies batsman Fletcher smashed 46-ball off 71 runs , an innings that studded with eight boundaries and four over boundaries and during the process he also shared 80-run second wicket stand with Pakistani batsman Babar Azam who cracked 32-ball off 41 runs with two boundaries and one over boundary.

Pacer Taskin Ahmed was the pick of Chittagong bowler as he grabbed three wickets conceding 31 runs.

He was well supported by Stiaan Van Zyl and Soumya Sarkar who both claimed two wickets for 14 and 17 runs respectively.

Earlier, cameo blaze by Sikandar Raza steered Chittagong Vikings to amass a massive total of 211 for 5 in 20 overs, the highest total so far in the tournament, against Sylhet Sixers, after they were sent to bat first.
