Brisbane: England bowled Australia out for 328 after tea on day three of the first Ashes test in Brisbane on Saturday, in response to the tourists’ first innings 302.
Steve Smith top-scored with an unbeaten 141, with Stuart Broad capturing 3-49 for England.
It was a masterful performance Smith has compiled. Endless reserves of concentration, plus the ability to step up through the gears when the onus was on marshalling the tail. That is just an incredible effort, and it has secured Australia a lead of 26.
