BCB announces preliminary squad for Asia Cup, ICC World T20

Dhaka: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Thursday announced a 25-member preliminary squad for the upcoming Asia Cup and the ICC World Twenty20.

The selected players will take part in a nearly month-long preparation camp in Khulna and Chittagong.

Selected players have been asked to report for the camp in Khulna on 23 January and Chittagong on 7 February.

The ICC World Twenty20 will be held in India from 8 March to 3 April while the Asia Cup 2016 will also be held in Bangladesh from 24 February to 6 March.

The preliminary squad: Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarker, Imrul Kayes, Liton Kumar Das, Mosaddek Hossain Saikot, Mushfiqur Rahim, Md Mithun, Qazi Nurul Hasan, Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah, Nasir Hossain, Shabbir Rahman, Shuvagata Hom Chowdhury, Ariful Hoque, Arafat Sunny, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Mustafizur Rahman, Abu Haider Rony, Al-Amin Hossain, Shafiul Islam, Md Shahid, Abul Hasan Raju, Taskin Ahmed, Kamrul Islam Rabbi and Muktar Ali.
