Keeping the promise given to Bangladesh ODI captain Mashrefe, the owners of Rangpur Riders have gifted an ambulance to ‘Narail Express’, a foundation working for the district’s overall development.

The ambulance arrived here from Dhaka on Wednesday morning will now be used to serve the un0der privileged people of Narail district.

Before the starting of Bangladesh Premiere League Cricket-2017, ODI captain and the captain of Rangpur Riders Mashrafe Bin Mortaza had asked his BPL team’s owners to give an ambulance for the foundation, reports the UNB.

As the team won under the captaincy of Mashrafe, the owners also kept their promise as soon as receiving the winning trophy.

Tarikul Islam Anik, an official of Narail Express, told UNB that poor people suffer here for lack of ambulance while the rent is also very high.

From now on, underprivileged people will be able use this ambulance, he said.

On Tuesday, Tarikul Islam thanked Captain Mashrafe in a Facebook post saying-

‘On behalf of Narail Express receiving the desired ambulance for the people of Narail From Rangpur Riders. Heartiest congratulations to Rangpur Riders and our proud son, the Chairman of Narail Express Foundation, Great Mashrafe Bin Mortaza’.

On September 4, 2017, Mashrafe fans launched the foundation under the leadership of the captain who is also popularly known as ‘Narail Express’.

This foundation is working for fulfilling various socio-cultural agenda. These include enhancing civic facilities, emphasising on specialised education system, introducing humane education at schools, eradicating unemployment, increasing cultural activities and providing various trainings on sports.
