Bangladesh get to 240 in 50 over against defending champion South Africa in the first match of U19 World Cup 2015 on Wednesday at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury in Chittagong.

The score always looked like the target from the start after Bangladesh won the toss and opt to bat.

‘Lots of batsmen got start but failed to go on to a really big score. Nazmul made a quality 73 and was the only person to score a fifty. South Africa were quite disciplined from the start to the end, and their death bowling was exemplary’, reported ESPN Cricinfo.

‘241 will not be very easy to chase on a wicket that could slow up through the afternoon.’

Bangladesh U19 are in safe position by winning two warm-up matches against Zimbabwe U19 on Saturday by 63 runs, though Zimbabwe tried their best to fight it back but lost out. Bangladesh also won their second warm-up match against England U19 by 97 runs and proved they not only the national team rule but so does the U19 team. Bangladesh U19 team have some key players who can turn the match around like Nazmul Hossain Shanto who scored a century in warm-up match, Pinak Ghosh who was unfortunate to miss his half-century, Mehedi Hasan and in terms of bowlers Abdul Halim, Mohammad Saifuddin, Hasan and Joyraz Sheik have been at the lead.

South Africa U19 won their first warm-up match on Friday but were unlucky when the second match was draw against West Indies U19 team on Monday. Tony de Zorzi scored his century for his side while Kyle Verreynne and Rivaldo Moonsamy scored half-centuries respectively beinfg the hands on bet for their team. When it comes to bowlers Sean Whitehead and Luke Philander were extremely accurate with their bowling skills to beat Fiji U19 team on Friday. It will be an interesting clash as both the sides have balanced players who can knock out the opponents if required.

Bangladesh: S Hassan, P Ghosh, J Sheik, NH Shanto, M Hasan, Z Hasan, S Hayet, S Sarkar, S Saha, A Halim, SA Shawon

South Africa: L Smith, K Verreynne, W Mulder, T de Zorzi, R Moonsamy, D Galiem, F Sayanvala, W Ludick, L Philander, S Whitehead, L Sipamla
