Franchises get icon players for Premier Div Cricket

All the 12 participating team’s franchises of the upcoming Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League picked up their players from the draft on Saturday.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) organised the draft programme held at a city hotel ahead of the List A league, which will begin its 5th edition journey on February 5.

Abahani and Prime Doleshwar got opportunities to pick up two icon players each as Agrani Bank Cricket Club and Brothers Union did not take any icon players, reports the UNB. 

Shinepukur Cricket Club got Mashrafe Bin Mortaza as their icon player while the other icon players are-Shakib Al Hasan (Mohammedan Sporting Club), Mushfiqur Rahim (Legends’ of Rupganj), Tamim Iqbal (Kalabagan Krira Chakra), Mahmudullah Riyad (Prime Bank Cricket Club), Imrul Kayes (Gazi Group Cricketers), Mustafizur Rahman (Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club), Mehidy Hasan Miraz (Abahani Limited), Nasir Hossain (Abahani Limited), Liton Kumar Das (Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club), Anamul Haque Bijoy (Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity) and Rubel Hossain (Prime Bank Cricket Club).
