New Zealand send Nepal to bat first
Winning the toss, New Zealand sent an all-debutant side Nepal to bat first in their first match of the 11th edition ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium neutral venue in Fatullah on Thursday, reported UNB.
In their Group-D match, Raju Rijal made his youth ODI debut as captain to lead an all-debutant Nepal while Josh Finnie leading the experienced New Zealand side.
Nepal Squad: S Sunar, S Dhamala, YS Karki, Raju Rijal (captain), DS Airee, K Bhurtel, P Tamang, S Kandel, Rajbir Singh, Aarif Sheikh and S Lamichhane.
New Zealand: FH Allen, JA Clarkson, Josh Finnie (captain), CK Leopard, AA Parikh, DN Phillips, GD Phillips, R Ravindra, TTB Scott, BV Sears and NG Smith.
