Bangladesh eye semi-final berth
The stage is all set for the first Quarter-Final match between Bangladesh and Nepal of the ICC Under-19 World Cup and the match will take place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium at Mirpur in Dhaka.
‘The tournament has sixteen teams divided in four groups from A to D and will play one match with all the other members of the group in the group stage. The top eight teams have directly qualified for the Super-League quarter final. The tournament so far has seen very interesting matches and another nail-biting match is expected here, looking at the significance of today’s match. ‘The stadium at Mirpur, Dhaka, is the greatest of all the stadiums in Bangladesh that host international cricket. It has so far played host to fourteen Test matches, ninety three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and twenty three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches so far. It has also hosted twelve Under-19 ODI matches before and there will be a lot of matches happening here during the tournament.’
