A 15-member Bangladesh national cricket team will fly for India on Tuesday (May 29) to play their first-ever bilateral three-match T20 International series against Afghanistan beginning on June 3 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in the Indian city of Dehradun.

The Tigers will play their remaining two T20 matches against the Test babes, Afghanistan, on June 5 and 7 respectively, all at 8:30 pm (Bangladesh time) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun, reports the UNB.

Besides, Bangladesh team will play a practice match there on June 1 ahead of the T20 series.

Earlier, the BCB announced a 15-member team recalling Mosaddek Hossain, who played his last T20 internationals in Sri Lanka last year and was dropped after the first Test against Sri Lanka in February last.

Three players — top order batsman Imrul Kayes, pacer Taskin Ahmed and wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan — have been dropped from the T20 squad that played the Nidahas Trophy in Sri Lanka in March.

Batsman Soumya Sarkar who made just 50 runs in five innings in the Nidahas Trophy, and seamers Abu Jayed who did not get a game in the Nidahas Trophy and Abu Hider who did not have an impact on the one game he played — have retained in the squad.

Bangladesh T20 Squad: Shakib Al Hasan  (Captain), Mahmudullah (Vice-Captain) Tamim Iqbal Khan, Soumya Sarkar, Liton Kumar Das, Mushfiqur Rahim, Sabbir Rahman, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, Ariful Haque, Mehidy Hassan Miraz, Nazmul Islam Apu, Mustafizur Rahman, Abu Hider Rony, Rubel Hossain and Abu Jayed Chowdhury Rahi.
