Blistering Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal procured a terrific unbeaten knock of 80 runs to help his team Peshawar Zalmi stun Islamabad United in a Pakistan Super League (PSL) match at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Friday.

The Zalmi comprehensively defeated the Uniteds by 7 wickets in their fifth match of this season. The dashing opener completed his third half century for his team in this season’s PSL, reports bdcricteam.com .

Tamim Iqbal built up a 36 run opening partnership with Mohammad Hafeez, a 27 run second wicket partnership with J Allenby, another 30 run third wicket partnership with Kamran Akmal and lastly 60 run fourth wicket partnership with Shahid Yusuf to steer his team into the port of victory with 9 ball to spare.

Tamim smashed 6 fours and 3 sixes in his innings.

Peshawar Zalmi is now leading the point table with 4 wins out of the five matches they played so far.
