World number one all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will play for Jamaica Tallawahs in this season’s Caribbean Premier League (CPL) along with West Indian batting maestro Chris Gayle and Sri Lankan legendary wicket keeper batsman Kumar Sangakkara.

In 2016 draft of CPL on Thursday in Barbados, Jamaica Tallawahs bought Shakib Al Hasan for 1.1 lakh dollars which is equivalent to 87 lakh taka, reports bdcricteam.com .

Shakib represented Barbados Tridents in the first season of Caribbean Premier League in 2013.

The big gun of T20 leagues around the world, Chris Gayle was taken for 1, 60000$ and Kumar Sangakkara for 1, 30000$.

Other Bangladeshi performers Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mustafizur Rahman, Soumya Sarkar and Imrul Kayes were unsold in the draft.
