Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is moving to Juventus in a transfer deal worth in the region of £105m.
The Spanish football giant confirmed he is set to join the Italian champions in a reported four-year deal, saying he had "proved to be the best in the world" during his time with the club.
"For Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo will always be one of its greatest symbols and a unique reference for the generations to come," the club said.
"Real Madrid will always be his home."
Juventus president Andrea Agnelli was at Ronaldo's hotel in Greece on Tuesday as discussions continued over the move, reports the Sky News.
At the same time, Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes was believed to be meeting Real Madrid.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has been Real for nine seasons after joining from Manchester United for a then world-record fee of £80m.
The 33-year-old Portugal forward has gone on to become the club's all-time top scorer with 451 goals for Real.
As well as the individual records, Ronaldo has also added two La Liga titles, two Copa del Reys and four Champions Leagues to his trophy collection during his time in Spain.
