The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has appointed Ryan Lyall Cook as National Team Fielding Consultant.

The South African coach, who has reached an agreement with the BCB to work up to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in England and Wales, will join the Bangladesh Team in Jamaica on Friday, says a BCB press release.

Cook is currently the Head Coach and High Performance Director of Gary Kirsten Cricket academy in Cape Town. He is also the Assistant Coach of Hobart Hurricanes in Australia’s Big Bash League. He has also served in the capacity of South Africa A Team Assistant Coach. Cook was Assistant Coach of the South Africa Under 19 Team in the ICC Under 19 World Cup 2016 in Bangladesh.
