Kolsindur emerge hat-trick champions

Dhaka: Kolsindur Government Primary School of Mymensingh emerged hat-trick champions in the Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Gold Cup Primary School Football tournament beating Khodorkor Government Primary School of Rajshahi by 3-1 goals in grand final held on Tuesday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina watched the match and she distributed the prizes as the chief guest.

The winning team received a gold trophy and a cash prize of Taka one lakh while the runners-up got silver trophy and a cash prize of Taka 75 thousand.

In the day's other final, Rajakhali Government Primary School of Cox's Bazar emerged champion in the Bangabandhu Gold Cup Primary School Football tournament beating Moricha Primary School of Dinajpur by 3-2 goals in a penalty shoot-out held at the same venue.  

The match rolled into a tie-breaker after the regulation time ended in a 1-1 goal draw.

In the regulation time, Abid scored one goal for Rajakhalai Primary School while Bipul Hasan netted for Moricha Primary School.

The champions got a gold trophy and a cash prize of Taka one lakh while runners-up team got a silver trophy and a cash prize of Taka 75 thousand, said a Bangladesh Football Federation press release in Dhaka on Tuesday.
