In the first match of Group A, Pakistan shocked Nepal 2-1 thanks to a Muhammad Ali strike in the dying minutes.
A Hassan Bashir penalty had put the winners ahead in the 36th minute and when Bimal Gharti Magar scored an equaliser eight minutes from time, the match looked destined for a draw till Ali hit the winner.
