Confident Bangladesh are facing ‘unpredictable’ Pakistan today in their Asia Cup Twenty20 encounter, at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur today (2 March).

Today’s match has become an unofficial semi-final as both teams stand on a similar equation — aiming to win the match and make it to the finals of the continental championship ahead of the ICC World Twenty20.

Bangladesh player too know that the match is a do or die one, and especially when it is against Pakistan to whom Bangladesh lost a close Asia Cup final in 2012 by just two runs.

‘It is always more intense when it is a Match against a Team like Pakistan and the Tigers are extra eager to battle it ferociously!’, says Shakib Al Hasan, ace all-rounder of Bangladesh, on his Facebook page.

Mushfiqur Rahim, the wicket-keeper batsman of the team, says, ‘Just one win will take us to Asia Cup final. Please keep team Bangladesh in your prayers!’

Sabbir Rahman, the hero of the last match against Sri Lanka, says, ‘It’s game day, pray for us!’.
