Bangladesh to pick four pacers, Nasir in!
Weather is playing the most rather than cricket at Dharamsala and who doesn’t know in cricket pitch has an unassailable connection to the weather. The condition of a wicket changes according to weather change.
Bangladesh are planning their playing XI keeping in mind the character of the wicket of the 12th qualifying encounter against Oman on the ground at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium tonight.
The weather forecast shows that there will be mostly cloudy with showers at Dharamsala today and the periods of rain can start at night according to ‘accuweather.com.’
Bangladesh is looking for a bowler-centric team as the wicket’s condition will change if there is rain.
According to the team management, today’s match will have four pace bowlers. Abu Haider Rony might team up with Mashrafe Mortaza, Al Amin Hossain, Abu Hider and Taskin Ahmed.
Taskin Ahmed is allowed to play despite being reported for suspect bowling as his action is still not proven illegal. So, he might not miss today’s match. He will travel to Chennai on Monday for biomechanics test. Arafat Sunny, who was reported with suspect bowling action, already went to Chennai for the test.
All-rounder Nasir Hossain was not included in second match after playing the first one. He was replaced by Md Mithun Ali. Nasir is likely to comeback in today’s XI.
So, the apprehension is that the persistent rain again can hamper the match at Dharamsala tonight and the first international encounter in any form of cricket between Bangladesh and Oman may washout due to rain, which means Oman will eliminate from the race.
Bangladesh (probable): Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Sabbir Rahman, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah, Nasir Hossain, Mashrafe Mortaza (captain), Al Amin Hossain, Abu Hider and Taskin Ahmed.
