AB de Villiers looked all set to add yet another century to his repertoire while playing against UAE at Wellington during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. But, he got out on 99 to the bowling of Kamran Shahzad. Even though the no one in the rest of the team has batted really well, de Villiers played like a lone warrior. He got to his 99 of 82 balls.

De Villiers, however, did have his share of luck as he was dropped off a tough caught and bowled chance by Amjad Javed when he was on 63. But de Villiers has not looked back and progressed into the punishing mode of his innings. The bowlers have been quite good but it will be interesting to see how they’ll be happy to see de Villiers’ back.

Earlier UAE won the toss and elected to bowl first at Wellington. It was a surprising call since the pitch doesn’t seem to have much on offer for bowlers. UAE are already out of the tournament and will play with a nothing-to-lose attitude.
