Dhaka: Bangladesh take on Sri Lanka in their crucial group A match of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup International Football tournament schedule to be held on Monday at the Banganadhu National Stadium.

Private satellite channel "Channel 9" telecast the match live that kicks off at 5:00pm.

Bangladesh need only a point to secure their semifinal berth of the tournament.

The host lost their group opening match losing a solitary goal to Malaysia while Sri Lanka suffered a 0-2 goal defeat to Malaysia which already confirmed their last fourth berth as a first team of the tournament.

We lost the last match...the Malaysia were u-23 team, but they are good side ... it's a second opportunity for us against Sri Lanka ... it's very important for us... the boys were nervous in first 20 minutes in the first match ...we have also some good players who have ability to change the fate of the match ...we need a win against Sri Lanka," said the Bangladesh foreign coach Lodewijk de Kruif at a pre-match press conference held on Sunday at the Bangladesh Football Federation conference room.

Bangladesh skipper Mamunul Islam Mamun said they are fully prepared for the match and they are looking full points against Sri Lanka to secure their semifinal berth.

Sri Lanka coach Nilkola Kabajovechese said they have no special target in the tournament as they have come here to take part in the tournament as well as to take preparation of World Cup qualifying round.

Sri Lankan skipper Sujona Perera said if the able to beat Bangladesh, then would get one more match to play in the tournament.
