Pran to sponsor Bangladesh team

Dhaka: Bangladeshi company ‘Pran’ will sponsor Bangladesh cricket team in the home series against Pakistan.
Bangladesh Cricket Board officially announced Pran as a sponsor of national cricket team at a programme held at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka on Monday.
Bangladesh skipper Masharfe Mortaza attended at the programme wearing new jersey of the Tigers ahead of their home series against Pakistan.
The full contract between Pran and BCB was not done yet. Pran will only sponsor Bangladesh in the home series against Pakistan.
The BCB on 4 April 2015 cancelled its contract with controversial company Aamby Valley, an affiliate of Sahara Parivar, 15 months before it was scheduled to end.
In 2012, Sahara had outbid Grameenphone, who had sponsored the Bangladesh team for eight years. Sahara had also won branding rights for the national team and the national cricket academy, and title sponsorship and in-stadia sponsorship for 2012-13.
