7th BPL football begins Monday

Dhaka: The 7th round of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football begins on Monday (Sept 19) after a recess of nearly one month at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here with the Team BJMC taking on newcomers Uttar Baridhara Club at 4:30pm on the day.  

League leader Muktijoddha Sangsad KC will face another joint league leader Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club at 7:30 in the day’s another fixture at the same venue.

The freedom fighters’ team, Muktijoddha SKC, dominated the league securing 12 points from six matches with a positive goal margin of seven.

Rahmatganj MFS, Sheikh Jamal DC and Dhaka Abahani Ltd followed the leaders neck and neck also securing 12 points from six matches, but they were placed 2nd to 4th positions with positive goal margins of six, five and four respectively.

Former champions Sheikh Russel KC is in the bottom of the 12-team fray securing only point from six matches.
