‘Rocket’ becomes title sponsor of Bangladesh-Afghanistan series

Dhaka: Dutch Bangla Bank Limited’s (DBBL) mobile banking service Rocket became the title sponsor for the upcoming cricket series between Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) made the declaration at a press conference at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur, on Monday.

The series has been named Rocket Dutch Bangla Bank Mobile Banking Bangladesh -Afghanistan ODI series 2016.

Besides, the BCB has awarded its title sponsorship and In-Stadia sponsorship rights to Impress Matra Consortium for a period of two years which is effect from September 1, 2016 to August 31, 2018.

Under the agreement Impress Matra Consortium will have the following rights of series naming, associate, stumps branding, ground perimeter board branding, sight screen branding, mid-wall branding, mid-wicket pitch-mat branding, boundary rope branding, hover cover, trophy unveiling, trophy & award branding, backdrop branding, roman banner, bowling end branding, umbrella branding, players dug-out branding, bowler's ending pitch mat, team bus and entry gate.

DBBL managing director KS Tabrej, Impress Telefilm Limited director Faridur Reza Sagar and BCB media committee's chairman Jalal Younus were present on the occasion.

The three-match day/night ODI series will begin on September 25 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur in Dhaka.
