England cricket team in Dhaka

Dhaka: The England cricket team arrived Dhaka on Friday to play a three-match ODI and a two-match Test series against Bangladesh in Dhaka and Chittagong.  

An ‘Etihad Airways’ flight carrying the 34-members English team, including 21 officials arrived at Shahjalal International Airport at about 8:48pm. 

The English cricket team will start the much-hyped tour with a one-day practice match against BCB XI at Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium (KSOAS) in Fatullah on Tuesday (October 4). 

Joseph Charles Buttler-led English ODI side will play the first two matches of the day-night series at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) on October 7 and 9. The 3rd ODI is scheduled to be held at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong (ZACS) on October 12. Jos Buttler will lead the English ODI side in the event as regular captain Eoin Morgan decided not to take part in the tour.  

Alastair Nathan Cook will lead the Test side in this tour for a two-match series starting at ZACS on October 20. The 2nd Test will start on October 28 at SBNCS.  

Ahead of the Test series, the visitors will play two two-day warm-up matches against BCB XI at MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong. The 1st warm-up match will begin on October 14 while the 2nd one on October 16. Alastair Cook will lead the Test side in this tour starting on October 20. 

The English team will leave for home from Dhaka on November 2.

October 4: One-day game vs Bangladesh Cricket Board XI, Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium, Fatullah

October 7: 1st ODI D/N, Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka

October 9: 2nd ODI D/N, Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka

October 12: 3rd ODI D/N, Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong

October 14-15: Two-day warm-up match, M A Aziz Stadium, Chittagong

October 16-17: Two-day warm-up match, M A Aziz Stadium, Chittagong

October 20-24: 1st Test, Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong

October 28 - November 1: 2nd Test, Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka

November 2: The England team will depart from Bangladesh
