For Bangladesh Cricket Team perhaps no other award would have been so exciting than getting the 8th position in ICC ODI ranking.

After whitewashing Pakistan 3-0 in ODI series as well as in T20, this is the very first time Tigers ranked eighth with a rating of 88 in ICC ranking leaving Pakistan behind at nine with 87 rating.

However, West Indies ranked 7 with the same 88 rating as Bangladesh due to higher points.

ICC published the new ranking on its website on Thursday.

World Champion Australia as usual is on the top notch followed by India with World Cup Runner-up New Zealand is on the third position.
