The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Governing Council has taken the decision to start BPL 2016 newly on Tuesday as the first four matches of the tournament have been washed out by persistent rain. The rain is expected to continue for the next two days.

The matches of 4, 5, and 6 November will be played later. 7 November (Monday) has no matches to play.

On 8 November, the first match will be between powerhouse Dhaka Dynamites and Barisal Bulls at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur at 2:00pm. Defending champs Comilla Victorians will face Chittagong Vikings in the evening, reports bdcricteam.com .

BPL Governing Council membar Ismail Haider Mallick has informed that if the teams agree to play the matches again, then there will be re-match. The franchises have been given time upto 10:00pm tonight to take decision.

To fill-up the games, any day which has gap might have matches. Mallick said if the teams want, there could be three matches in a day. If that happens, the first match will start at 10:00am.
