Dhaka: The seven-team AKS 4th Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 cricket will make a fresh start on Tuesday with its new schedule announced by the BPL Governing Council.

Defending champions Comilla Victorians will face Chittagong Vikings in the first match starting at 2 pm at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Mirpur.

Two times champions Dhaka Dynamites (formerly known as Dhaka Gladiators) will play against Barisal Bulls in the 2nd match at 7 pm at the same venue.

On completion of Dhaka fixture on Nov 14, the tournament will move to Chittagong to resume at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS) on November 17.

Chittagong Vikings will play against Dhaka Dynamites in the first match at 2 pm at ZACS while Rangpur Riders will face Barisal Bulls in the 2nd match at the same venue at 7 pm.

The remaining matches, including one eliminator, two qualifiers and the final, of the tournament will be held at SBNCS from November 25 to December 10.

BPL Governing Council in a meeting with franchises representatives, broadcasters and ticketing partners, on Saturday, decided to make a new start.

The tournament started on November 4, but persistent rain forced to wash out the first four matches of the tournament all in a row without a ball being bowled. Then the BPL Governing Council called the meeting to take the decision for a new start with consent of all parties involved in the tournament.

In the rematches scheduled, Comilla Victorians and Rajshahi Kings will play on November 30 while Rangpur Riders will take on Khulna Titans on November 10. The matches were washed out on November 4.

Another two washed out matches were scheduled for November 5, Chittagong Vikings versus Barisal Bulls and Comilla versus Dhaka Dynamites- will now be held on November 14.

Barisal versus Khulna and Rangpur versus Rajshahi matches will be held on November 20 in Chittagong and November 28 in Dhaka respectively, originally scheduled for November 6 at SBNCS.
