Dhaka: Khulna Titans secured their 3rd victory in the 4th Bangladesh Premier League T20 with a 13-run win over all losers Comilla Victorians in the match at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Sunday.

Chasing a target of 145, Victorians fell short of 14 runs to reach their destination scoring 131/9 in 20 overs with Marlon Samuels top-scoring 30 off 34 balls, including two boundaries and one six.

Sohail Tanvir stayed for unbeaten run-a-ball 21 wiith two boundaries. Imrul Kayes added another 21 while Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Ashar Zaidi and Rashid Khan scored 10 runs each for the side.

Shafiul Islam captured two wickets for 19 runs in four overs and was adjudged man of the match, Junaid Khan bagged two wickets for 24 runs in four overs while Kevon Cooper, Shuvagata Hom and Mosharraf Hossain took one wicket each for 16, 20 and 21 runs. 

Sent in to bat first, dramatic win snatcher Mahmudullah Riyad-led Titans collected the figure of 144 for 9 in 20 overs riding on the opening pair contribution of 45 in 4.4 overs between Andre Fletcher and Hasanuzzaman.

Hasanuzzaman stayed for top-scoring 37 off 30 balls, including six boundaries, and was caught by keeper Liton Kumar Das off skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza's bowling at 99/3 in 12.2 overs.

Fletcher hit a six and three boundaries off 17 balls for 23 runs while Shuvagata Hom (16), Nicholas Pooran (12), Mahmudullah(11) and Kevon Cooper (11) were the other double figure scorers for the side. 

Mashrafe made the first breakthrough in the Titans batting castle departing opener Fletcher and continued his authority to debacle the top-order batters dismissing Hasanuzzaman and Shuvagata Hom -- on the way to three for 26 in four overs.

Sohail Tanvir captured three for 19 runs in four overs; Nazmul Hossain Shanto bagged two wickets for economic 9 in two overs and Rashid Khan conceded 25 runs in four overs.

Khulna Titans skipper Mahmudullah snatched a three-run victory over Rajshahi Kings in a last ball thriller to ensure a flying start, but suffered a humiliating nine-wicket defeat against Rangpur Riders in the 2nd match, again back in the winning track also in a last ball thriller against Chittagong Vikings by four-run where Mahmudllah was the protagonist taking three wickets conceding no run in five balls in the innings last over.

Comilla Victorians started their tournament with a 29-run loss against Chittagong Vikings in the tournament opener while suffered another defeat by six-wicket against Barisal Bulls.
