Dhaka: West Indies all-rounder Chris Gayle is expected to arrive in Dhaka on Friday afternoon to play in the seven-team 4th Bangladesh Premier League T20 for a franchised team Chittagong Vikings.

Chittagong Vikings media manager confirmed on Thursday that he will arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport between 4:25 to 4:55pm.

Gayle is likely to appear on the ground for Vikings against table topper Rangpur Riders on November 27 (Sunday).

In the last three edition of BPL T20, Gayle played for franchised teams Dhaka Gladiators, Barisal Burners and Barisal Bulls respectively, where he scored 541 runs in 10 matches, including three centuries and one half century, at an average 77.28 runs.

Vikings secured 4th slot in the points table, bouncing back from behind after four consecutive defeats. Vikings secured three successive victories at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on the way to their collection of eight points from eight outings having four wins and four loses.

Starting their campaign with a 29-run win over all-losers Comilla Victorians in the tournament opener, Vikings lost to Rangpur Riders by nine-wicket, Khulna Titans by four-run, Barisal Bulls by seven-wicket and Dhaka Dynamites by 19-run. Then maintained their winning spree beating Rajshshi kings by 19-run, Comilla Victorinas by six-wicket and Barisal Bulls by 78 runs.
