Dhaka: Dhaka Dynamites outplayed hapless defending champion Comilla Victorians by 32 runs in their 8th encounter of the 4th Bangladesh Premier League T20 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Saturday. 

With the day’s win Dhaka Dynamites collected 10 points from eight games having five wins and three loses while Comilla Victorians eliminated from the race of last four-team play-off stage of the seven-team franchised tournament having no collection from the eight matches. 

In the day’s match, chasing a target of 171, Comilla Victorians played stipulated 20 overs to collect 138 for 8 wickets.

Khalid Latif top-scored 38 off 33 balls including four boundaries and one six, while Ahmed Shehzad added run-a-ball 22, including a six. 

Opener Nazmul Hossain Shanto (17), Sohail Tanvir (14) and skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza (10) were the other double figure scorers for the side. 

Dwayne Bravo captured three wickets for 32 runs in four overs. Nasir Hossain, Mohammad Shahid, Abu Jayed, Shakib Al Hasan and Seekkuge Prasanna took one wicket each. 

Batting first after winning the toss, Dhaka Dynamites scored 170 for 4 in 20 overs spurred by the skipper Shakib Al Hasan unbeaten innings of 41 runs. 

Man of the match Shakib faced 26 balls to fire four boundaries and one six to stay in the crease till the end. 

Kumar Sangakkara scored 33 off 28 balls, including four boundaries, while Mahela Jayawardene (31off 27b; 4x4), Mosaddek Hossain (25 off 18b; 2x4; 1x6), opener Mehedi Maruf (22 off 17b; 3x4; 1x6) and Seekkuge Prasanna (unbeaten 11 off 4b; 1x4; 1x6) were the other scorers for Dhaka Dynamites.
