Dhaka: Bangladesh's one-day international and Twenty20I skipper Mashrafe Mortaza said his side would get more confidence from preparation camp in Australia ahead of their New Zealand series starting later this month.

He also praised the step taken by the board to arrange for them a 10-day preparation camp from which the team would get benefited ahead of the tough away series.

Addressing at a pre-departure press conference on Friday at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mashrafe also said his side will get benefited from the preparation camp ahead of the tough series despite a bit difference weather between Australia and New Zealand though such kind of step.

After having a number of challenges at home, the Tigers will embark upon a new mission from the end of this month when they begin their tour in New Zealand.

The Narail express, however, described the new challenge as difficult, but at the same time expressed his confidence to do something good in New Zealand.

He said they had targeted to win 80 percent of their matches at home and now we have managed to achieve that target. It's a different challenge to play outside even for a established teams find it difficult to win their away from home and from that view he thinks it would going to be a tough challenge for them.

Replying to a question, the speedster said during the preparation camp in Australia the full team will in the training camp and live like a family. They would also share their problems each other so that they can solve those problems ahead of the New Zealand series.

Mash said the weather in New Zealand is very different from other areas. It's going to be difficult but they would able to take the momentum with them. In that case, he said they can take the good memories while they have into the tour of New Zealand. If they able to do that, they would get confidence to do well.

Before going to New Zealand, the Tigers will be spending around two weeks in Australia in order to prepare for the series. A section of the national team already left for Australia on Thursday last evening while the second batch is expected to leave on Saturday.

After completion of the preparation camp, the Tigers will set for New Zealand on December 18 where Bangladesh will take part a practice match on December 22.

The Bangladesh will play the first ODI on December 26 followed by second and third matches on December 29 and 31 respectively.

The first T20I will be held on January 3 and the second T20 is slated on January 8. The third and final T20 will be held on January 8.

The first Test of the two-match series will begin on January 12 while the second and final Test will begin on January 20.

Earlier, Bangladesh Cricket Board announced a 22-member preliminary squad for the preparation camp in Australia.
