Dhaka: After proving their abilities to defeat the heavyweight cricketing nations on home ground in the last couple of years, Bangladesh cricket team will go for taking the challenges in away that involved several bilateral series and tournaments in the around next seven months.

Tigers’ challenges will be started with the upcoming New Zealand tour when they will play a full-fledged series, involving three ODIs, three T20I and two Test matches, starting on December 26.

In February 2017, India will host Bangladesh for one Test only, 17 years after the Tigers achieved Test status.

Later, the Tigers will go for another full-fledged bilateral series --two Tests, three ODIs and two T20I matches -- against Sri Lanka. The schedule of the tour will be disclosed later.

In May, Bangladesh will take part in a tri-nation series where the two other teams are hosts Ireland and New Zealand. In the tri-nation series Bangladesh will play four-matches, two against Ireland and two against New Zealand.

Later, the Tigers will participate in the ICC Championship Trophy scheduled to be held on June 2017. England will host the tournament where top eight ODI-ranking teams will play.

Bangladesh secured six successive ODI series victories against Zimbabwe, Pakistan, India, South Africa and Afghanistan from November 2014 to October 2016 in the home grounds.

However, the Tigers lost a three-match series by 2-1 against England in October last.
