Dhaka: The fourth Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Twenty20 concluded on Friday night where Dhaka Dynamites' pedigree held till the end claiming the title with a 56-run victory against underdog Rajshshi in the final.

The final day witnessed colorful ceremony including fireworks amid jam-packed crowed at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka.

A total of seven-franchised took part in the meet where 46 matches, including 42-game in the double-league phase, in two venues in Dhaka and Chittagong, of them Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, hosted 11 matches.

The tournament witnessed only one century of 122 runs hammered by Rajshahi Kings top order batsman Sabbir Rahman. 

Sabbir played 15 matches to score 377 runs at average 26.92, including one century and a half century, firing 29 boundaries and 17 over boundaries.

The 4th place finishing side Chittagong Vikings skipper Tamim Iqbal collected most runs of 476 from 13 games at average 43.27, hammered six half centuries to be the most half centurions. He hammered 53 boundaries and 11 over boundaries.

The 3rd place finisher Khulna titans captain Mahmudullah Riyad was adjudged player of the tournament for his all-round performance in the meet.

Mahmudullah followed Tamim scoring 396 runs in 14 matches, at average 33, that witnessed two half centuries. He hammered 31 boundaries and 14 overs boundaries with bat while with ball Mahmudullah captured 10 wickets for 247 runs in 33.2 overs, at average 24.70 with ball.

West Indian pace-all-rounder Dwayne Bravo played for Champion side Dhaka and emerged the most wickets hunter of the tournament capturing 21 wickets for 335 runs in 44.2 overs, at average 15.95 in 13 matches.

Dhaka scored highest total of 194/5 in 20 overs against last edition champion Comilla Victorians.

In terms of wicket margin victory, Rangpur tasted the biggest nine-wicket victory thrice, against Chittagong, Khulna and Comilla respectively.

Highest partnership by runs of 150 in 17 overs built-up by English top order batsman Dwaid Malan and Shahriar Nafees, in the 2nd wicket, for Barisal against Chittagong, while in the same match Ctg captain Tamim and Jahurul Islam built up the highest opening stand figure of 116 in 13.1 overs. 

Lankan wicket-keeper batsman Kumar Sangakkara secured the most dismissals title taking 18 wickets in 13 games for Dhaka, took 13 wicket by catch while 5 by stumping.

Dhaka's young talent Mehedi Maruf hit most over boundaries of 20, on the way to scoring 347 in 14 matches at average 26.69. He hammered two half centuries and 32 boundaries.

Best bowling figures in an innings of 5/21 in 4 overs, made by Afif Hossain for Rajshahi against Chittagon, followed by another Rajshahi's bowler Abul Hasan figured 5/28 in four overs against Khulna.

Participating teams are: Dhaka Dynamites, Rajshahi Kings, Khulna Titans, Chittagong Vikings, Rangpur Riders, previous edition champion Comilla Victorians and Barisal Bulls -- from champion to 7th place finisher respectively.
