India’s fast bowler Mohammed Shami had to endure attack from his ‘fans’ on social media after he posted a family photograph online with wife Hasin Jahan and their daughter on Sunday.

People soon started commenting on the western attire of Shami’s wife, with some even asking why she was not wearing a ‘hijab’, reports cricket.yahoo.com.

Although the 26-year-old, who is recovering from a knee injury, did not respond, his friend and former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif jumped to his defence.

‘The comments are really really Shameful. Support Mohammed Shami fully. There are much bigger issues in this country. Hope sense prevails’ Kaif tweeted.
