PCB threatens to take legal action against BCCI
Some top ranked officials of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has come under terms to take legal actions against Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) for not fulfilling the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) they had signed back in 2014.
The PCB had earlier threatened to go to court but now the decision has been taken to take legal action against BCCI for dishonouring the MOU for playing Bilateral cricket.
On the other hand, the BCCI has repeatedly said that the decision lies in the hands of the government and there is nothing they can do.
The bilateral sporting ties collapsed after the recent atrocities conducted by Pakistan in various J&K regions, especially the unfortunate URI incident, which led to the surgical strikes.
PCB Chairman Shahryar Khan in a statement, said, "The MOU was signed in front of the ICC and a legal case is being prepared so that we can convey the message clearly to India that we should be given compensation as six out of the two series were not played."
He also called upon the ICC, which witnessed the signing of the MOU, to support them and hlep them get compensation for PCB's loss. The legal case will be presented to both the BCCI and ICC once prepared.
