Dhaka: South Africa Women's cricket team extended their series win margin 4-1 with an impressive eight wicket victory against the host Bangladesh in the 5th and last ODI at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox's Bazar on Friday.
 
Batting first after winning the toss, Bangladesh were restricted at tiny figure of 68 for all in 36.3 overs where opener Sharmin Sultana and number-5 Nigar Sultana added 13 and 10 runs respectively to be the double figure scorers for the side.
 
Odine Kirsten captured four wickets for economic 10 runs in 10 overs for the visitors while Marcia Letsoalo bagged three-wicket for 13 runs in 10 overs and Yolani Fourie took two for 22 in eight overs. 
 
South Africa chased down the target scoring 69 for 2 in 10 overs with opener Lizelle Lee's 37 and Chloe Tryon's unbeaten 13 runs.
 
Bangladesh skipper Rumana Ahmed and Salma Khatun took one wicket each for 13 and 19 runs in three and two overs respectively.
 
Odine Kirsten was adjudged player of the match for her economy bowling.
 
Including the five-match series result, Bangladesh suffered three consecutive series defeat against South Africa, after 2-1 margin at home in September 2012 and by 3-0 margin at Willowmoore Park, Benoni in September 2013.  
 
The Proteas started their campaign in the series beating Bangladesh by 86 runs in the 1st match while by 17 runs in the 2nd ODI, before conceded a 10-run defeat in the 3rd match, and sealed the series with 94-run victory in the 4th match.
 
Proteas opener Lizelle Lee was adjudged player of the series scoring 268 (87, 70, 46, 28 and 37) runs from five match of the series.
 
With the day's result, Bangladesh lost in nine occasions against South Africa among their 11 ODI tussles.
