Bangladesh girls perform brilliantly in Japan

Dhaka: Touring Bangladesh U-16 girls football team made tremendous results in Japan securing two wins and a defeat on the 2nd and final day of the J Green Sakai lady’s festival in Osaka on Sunday.
Bangladeshi girls made a good start beating Amagasaki Ladies by 4-0 goals in the day’s first match with Shopna scoring two while Krishna and Marzia scoring one each.
In the day’s 2nd match, Bangladesh drew 1-1 with Thailand in the schedule time with Shopna contributing lone goal for Bangladesh.
But in the tie breaker, Bangladesh conceded 2-4 goals defeat against Thailand.
In the 3rd match against Tokai University Academy, Bangladesh managed a thumping 4-0 win with Shopna contributing two goals, Sheuli and Akhi one each.
Of the seven matches in Japan, including one friendly, Bangladesh girls recorded three wins, one draw and two defeats.
