Mushfiq, Soumya fifties lift Bangladesh

Dhaka: Bangladesh declared their first innings at 224 for 8 against India A in a two-day warm-up match at Gymkhana Ground in Hyderabad on Sunday.

Liton Das was not out on 23 off 35 balls, including 2 boundaries and 1 over boundaries while Taijul Islam was accompanying him with 4 runs, facing 19 balls.

Mushfiqur Rahim was the top scorer of visitors, collecting 58 runs off 106 balls, firing 8 boundaries and one over boundaries while Soumya Sarkar scored 52 runs facing 73 balls, including 9 boundaries and one over boundaries.  

Aniket Choudhary bagged 4 wickets for 26 runs while Chama Milind, Vijay Shankar, Shahbaz Nadeem and Kuldeep Yadav took one wicket each for 26, 32, 38 and 32 runs respectively for home side.

In reply, India A managed 37 runs for none and trailed by 187 runs with 10 wickets remaining while the report was being filed.

Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat.

Bangladesh team reached in Indian on February 2 and started their two-day training sessions for conditioning on February 3 at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium (RGICS) in Hyderabad ahead of the one-off Test against India starting on February 9.
