Taskin would be any captain’s dream
The opponent has already made up a big-partnership. If it cannot be broken, it would be too tough to win the match. The captain becomes worried. He is trying his best to get a wicket. But, none of his tricks works.
At that moment, he has brought his best weapon and handed over the ball to him. The captain knows his precious weapon can make impossible possible at any crucial moment. At last, the team gets the much-needed wicket.
This imaginary bowler is none other than Taskin Ahmed. The young right-hand-pacer is the man to rely on for any captain at any critical moment. Bangladesh bowling coach Courtney Walsh also believes the same.
Taskin is not too experienced in the international cricket. But, within the short span of time, the 21-years-old pacer proved his importance to the team. Specially, he got attention of the legendary pacer Walsh.
‘He is a fantastic bowler. He has a good pace, and he’s full of life. On his day, he could be any captain’s dream-bowler,’ said Walsh.
After his debut in 2014, Taskin played quite a number of ODIs and T20s, but he is a new comer in the Test format. He sealed his position in the team right after the tour to New Zealand for the next tour to India.
‘He will be more and more experienced after these matches’, said Walsh.
‘I think, after getting more experience, he will be more confident and he will definitely rise himself at the top. Taskin can work hard. The way he is getting himself prepared, I’m happy with him. He can do anything for his team during a match.’
Before the one-of Test against India, Bangladesh have already played a practice match against India A team.
