Dhaka: Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has attained career-high 20th place in the Test rankings for the first time in his career following the conclusion of the one-off Test between India and Bangladesh in Hyderabad on Monday.

Shakib has scored 82 and 22, to move up to 20th rank after jumping two places after there was no change in the top five in all the three categories of the MRF Tyres ICC Test Player Rankings.

Bangladesh cricket team skipper Mushfiqur Rahim also scored centuries in Hyderabad, which is reflected in the latest MRF Tyres ICC Test Player Rankings.

Mushfiqur has achieved a career-high 35th position, after vaulting five places.

Besides, Mahmudullah has earned a career-best ranking of 45th to date by leaping five places, according to ICC media release.

Bangladesh bowlers making some changes following the Hyderabad Test are Taijul Islam in 36th (up by two places) and Taskin Ahmed in 106th (up by 10 places), while those moving in the opposite direction are Shakib Al Hasan in 15th (down by one place), Mehedi Hasan in 40th (down by five places) and Kamrul Islam Rabbi in 89th (down by nine places).

India’s Ravichandran Ashwin continues to lead the all-rounders’ list, followed by Shakib and Jadeja.
