Tigers' warm-up match begins

Dhaka: Mushfiqur Rahim-led Bangladesh Cricket team started their tour campaign on Thursday with a tow-day warm-up match against a local selection at Tyronne Fernando Stadium, Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.

The match began at 10:30am Bangladesh time. 

Bangladesh are now on a tour to Sri Lanka to play two Tests, three ODIs and two T20s.

The first Test begins on March 7 at Galle International Stadium while the 2nd one -- Bangladesh's 100th in the format – will start on March 15 at P Sara Oval in Colombo.

The first two ODIs will be held at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on March 25, 28 and the 3rd ODI at Sinhalese Sports Club Ground, Colombo on April 1.

The two T20Is will be held at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on April 4 and 6.  

On February 21, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the Test squad for the two-match Test series bringing in cutter master Mustafizur Rahman and pace bowler Rubel Hossain in the 16-man team.

Sri Lanka Cricket on Tuesday announced a 15-man Test squad naming Rangana Herath as the captain replacing Angelo Mathews who was ruled out from the squad due to injury.

No squads for ODI and T20I series were announced yet.

Bangladesh squad: Mushfiqur Rahim (captain), Tamim Iqbal, Liton Das, Soumya Sarkar, Mominul Haque, Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah, Sabbir Rahman, Mustafizur Rahman, Taijul Islam, Mehedi Hasan, Taskin Ahmed, Mosaddek Hossain, Kamrul Islam Rabbi, Subashis Roy and Rubel Hossain.

Sri Lanka squad: Rangana Herath (captain), Dinesh Chandimal, Dimuth Karunaratne, Niroshan Dickwella, Upul Tharanga, Dhananjaya de Silva, Kusal Mendis, Asela Gunaratne, Suranga Lakmal, Lahiru Kumara, Nuwan Pradeep, Vikum Sanjaya, Dilruwan Perera, Lakshan Sandakan and Malinda Pushpakumara.
