Dhaka: Bangladesh ODI skipper Mashrafe bin Mortaza sustained ‘minor injuries’ ahead of forthcoming India tour as bus hit a rickshaw carrying him.   

The accident took place on Thursday when the pacer was on his way to practice at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka.  

Both of his arms were injured when he fell off the rickshaw.

Bangladesh Cricket Board selection committee member Minhajul Abedin Nannu said, ‘Some pieces of Mashrafe’s hand and feet are ripped off. But his injuries are not serious.’

‘There are still several days left to start India series. I hope he will fully recover before the series,’ Nannu added.
