Mustafizur Rahman sent FDM Karunaratne back to pavilion in the fourth ball of eight over of bowling.

The hosts have scored 24 runs for one after the end 11.4 overs.

Earlier, on Wednesday morning, Sri Lanka captain Rangana Herath won the toss and opted to bat in the second Test against Bangladesh at the P. Sara Oval in Colombo.

Bangladesh, who are playing their 100th Test match, suffered a blow on the eve of the match when wicketkeeper-batsman Liton Das was ruled out with a rib fracture.

Captain Mushfiqur Rahim returns to wicketkeeping duties while batsman Mosaddek Hossain was handed his Test debut.

Imrul Kayes, Sabbir Rahman and Taijul Islam were also called up to the Bangladeshi starting line-up with Mominul Haque, Mahmudullah and Taskin Ahmed making way.

Sri Lanka, who lead the two-Test series 1-0, made one change to the team that won the first Test in Galle by 259 runs, bringing in Dhananjaya de Silva for Lahiru Kumara.
