Match resumes after rain
Dhaka: Play resumes finally after long rain delay, weather has cleared up and looking bright. India were 107 for none when rain stopped play.
India opening batsman Murali Vijay scored 11th Test half-century for India in the one-off Test against Bangladesh on day one at Fatullah. His partner Shikhar Dhawan has already managed to score a fifty and looks set to get to the three-figure mark soon. Vijay did not get carried away by the by the attacking approach of Dhawan and kept getting runs at his own pace. He played every ball at its merit and has been successful thus far.
India resumed play at 107 for no loss after rain had halted play. India were in cruise control of the match before it started pouring. As a result of the heavy rains one full session was washed. Vijay along with Dhawan will want to bat till the close of play and put India in a commanding position going into Day Two.
Earlier, India captain Virat Kohli had won the toss and elected to bat. Harbhajan Singh is back into the sqaud after a gap of over two years. Bangladesh wicket keeper Litton Das too is playing his first Test as regular keeper and skipper Mushfiqur Rahim has an injured finger.
