India will win series: Sourav

Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly hopes that India will win the series against Bangladesh despite India’s defeat to Bangladesh in the first One Day International.
Sourav said it was wrong for India to look down upon Bangladesh in Thursday’s match.
‘It was not right to look down upon a team that defeated Pakistan in consecutive four matches.’ said Sourav.
Hoping that India will win the series he said ‘Though they have lost the first match, I hope India will perform better in the next two matches and win the series.’
Former Indian opener said to Kolkata based Daily Anandabazar ‘A batsman like Kohli should bat taking more responsibility. I believe players will perform better in the next two matches rectifying their mistakes. I still think that India is ahead in the series. But rain may add to the injury. It is difficult to say anything if match gets curtailed.’
On the development of Bangladesh cricket Sourav said ‘They used to spread fielding against India or any other top team. But now they keep more fielders inside the circle. This positive thought has made them more attacking and their bowling coach Heath Streak deserves the credit for that.’
Sourav advised Dhoni to bat first in the next two matches if he wins the toss.
Sourav considers the Dhoni- Mustafizur collision in first ODI just as an accident.
‘Dhoni did not do that intentionally’ he claimed.
42-year-old Sourav Ganguly scored more than 11,000 runs in his ODI career. Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack, in 2002, declared Sourav the sixth best batsman of all time.
