The end did not end so well for the tigers, as they lost the third match of the ODI series against India by 77 runs. But who cares, they bagged the series after all.

Although it’s true that all the countrymen were looking for another Banglawash like that what happened with Pakistan several months back, triumphant wins in the last ODI matches, which ensured the first series win against India and 2017 Champions Trophy, made up for Wednesday’s loss.

"The way we have played the whole series, we have a lot of positive things, and also have lessons from today," said captain Mashrafe Mortaza who now eyes for South Africa series next week.

In the third and final ODI in Mirpur Bangladesh had a 318-run target set by India. Tigers lost all the wickets chasing the huge score ending up on 240 runs with 3 overs in hands.

Bangladeshi batsmen tried to repeat the blitzkrieg of the past two matches, but they could not make it.

This OID series against India gave birth to a good lot of records, including the mysterious man Mustafizur  Rahman’s becoming the second bowler in cricket history to hunt 5 wickets in two consecutive matches, one of which was his debut.
