Dhaka: Bangladesh top-order batsman Sabbir Rahman placed 10th in the ICC's latest T20I batsmen rankings.

The rankings were updated following the T20I series, between England and South Africa, which ended on June 25 at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.

Sabbir, a 25 year-old right handed batsman from Rajshahi, achieved this feat for the first time securing 627 rating points. He scored only 117 runs in five innings in this year.

Making his T20I debut for national side against Sri Lanka in Chittagong in February 2014, Sabbir scored 721 runs at an average of 28.84 playing out 31 games.

Sabbir is the only Bangladesh player after Shakib Al Hasan to break into the top ten rankings for T20I batsmen.

Shakib, who is now leading the all-rounder rankings across all three formats, achieved this feat in 2012.

Another Bangladesh player Mahmudullah Riyad secured the 6th place with 203 rating points among the top ten T20I all-rounders.

Aggregating 695 rating points, pace bowler Mustafizur Rahman secured 6th place in the T20I bowling rankings while Shakib ranked ninth with 684 ratings.
