Tamim starts stint with Essex
Dhaka: Bangladesh's dashing opener Tamim Iqbal will appear in the 4th NatWest T20 Blast on Sunday to play for Essex Eagles against Kent Spitfires at Kent County Cricket Ground in England on Sunday.
The 14th match of the 18-team English county cricket T20 league will start at 8pm.
Including Sunday's match, Tamim is likely to be available for 7 to 8 games for Essex.
In the remaining matches Tamim will play against Somerset, Glamorgan, Surrey, Hampshire, Glamorgan and Middlesex on July 13, 16, 19, 21, 23 and 27.
If the Tigers preparation camp at home for two-match Test series against Australia will start before July 29, Tamim must leave for home without playing against Gloucestershire.
Tamim missed out the Essex's first battle against Surrey in their nine-team South Group fixture on July 7 where his side lost by 2 runs.
Tamim who is now in England, left Dhaka on Friday morning got the county team Essex proposal to play for the side following his brilliant performances against England and Australia in the last Champions Trophy in England and Wales.
In his first stint in this T20 league for Nottinghamshire in 2011, Tamim scored 104 runs in 5 matches at average 20.80 runs.
