Dhaka: Farzana Aktar, wife of Bangladesh cricket team's pace bowler Mohammad Shahid, on Sunday lodged a complaint with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) against her husband that he 'tortures' her.

"He has an extramarital relationship. If I talk about this, he tortures me in different ways," said Farzana after submitting her complaint to BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury.

"Shahid never hugged or took our 11-month-old daughter on his lap. He hasn't spent a penny for the kid so far," Farzana said in her written statement.

"On June 23, just three days before the Eid, Shahid told his mother and brother to get me out of his house. He also threatened to push me off the roof if I disagree," she said.

Farzana, now staying at her father's house in Munshiganj, got married to Shahid on June 24, 2011.

The couple has two kids-- three years old son Araf and 11 months old daughter Arohi.

Shahid, who played five Tests and one T20 International for Bangladesh, played his last international game in 2016 as he was sidelined from the national duty following an injury during the last year's Bangladesh Premier League.
