Dhaka: South Africa have sealed the two match T20 series defeating Bangladesh by 31 runs in the 2nd T20 at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Bangladesh were all out for 138 in 19.2 overs on their way to chase 169 runs.

Soumya Sarkar was the highest scorer for Tigers with 37 runs from 21 balls. Debutant Rony Talukdar added 21 runs.

AM Phangiso, KJ Abbott and debutant Eddie Leie bagged 3 wickets each for South Africa.

Batting first South Africa scored 169 runs losing 4 wickets.

Quinton de Kock and AB de Villiers made an opening stand of 95 runs.

Nasir Hossain took 2 wickets while Mustafizur Rahman and Arafat Sunny bagged one wicket each.

In the first T20, Proteas beat Tigers by 52 runs.

The two teams will now play a three-match one-day international series, beginning on 10 July at the same ground.
